Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

Are We in Sync? is a pass-and-play drawing game designed to work on one device. This policy explains what information the current version of the app uses, where it is kept, and the choices available to you.

Information the app uses

When you play, the app may store:

  • optional player names in Two Player mode and player names entered for Party PK;
  • game settings, including mode, teams, difficulty, and number of rounds;
  • secret prompts, typed guesses, whether each guess was correct, scores, and chemistry results;
  • drawings and drawing previews; and
  • game timing, progress, and completion dates.

This information is created through normal gameplay. The app does not ask for your email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location.

Where your data is stored

Gameplay information is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. The current app does not create an online account, connect to our servers, or upload player names, guesses, drawings, or match history. Depending on your iOS or iPadOS settings, Apple may include app data in a device backup. Apple controls that backup service under its own terms and privacy policy.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The current app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, or performance-monitoring SDKs. We do not use app data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Device permissions

The app does not request access to your camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, notifications, or location. Drawings are made inside the app and are not imported from or exported to those services.

Our website

This public website does not include account sign-in, forms, advertising, analytics scripts, or cookies set by us. As with most websites, hosting and network providers may process basic request information, such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access, to deliver and protect the site. We do not use that information to build advertising profiles.

How information is used and shared

Local gameplay information is used only to run matches, display results, and show your game history on the device. Because the current app does not transmit that information to us, we do not sell it or share it with advertisers. Someone who can access your unlocked device may be able to view game history.

Retention and deletion

Gameplay information remains on your device until you delete an individual completed match, choose Delete All Game Data in Settings, or remove the app. Deleting all game data immediately removes the app's local matches and drawings and cannot be undone. Copies held in an Apple device backup may remain until that backup is deleted or expires under Apple's policies.

Security

Keeping gameplay data on the device reduces the amount of information sent over the internet. No storage method is completely secure, however. You can help protect local information by using a device passcode and keeping your operating system up to date.

Children's privacy

Are We in Sync? does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app because the current version does not transmit gameplay data to us. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of the device and can delete all locally stored game data from Settings.

Your choices and rights

You can play without entering optional names in Two Player mode, review completed matches in History, delete individual matches, or delete all game data. Because we do not receive the app's local gameplay information, we generally cannot access, export, or delete it for you remotely.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date at the top of the page.
